AIP Guru is an app and companion website that helps people follow the Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) — an elimination-and-reintroduction diet used by some people managing autoimmune conditions. AIP Guru is operated by Sweit ("we", "us", "our") Sweit, Konvaljevägen 14, 13736 Vasterhaninge, Sweden. This agreement is between you and Sweit and governs your use of the AIP Guru app and this website.
By creating an account, using the app, or subscribing to Membership, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use AIP Guru.
AIP Guru provides tools to support the AIP elimination and reintroduction phases, including:
Some features are available for free, with limits on usage (for example, a limited number of label scans or recipe photo imports per day or user). A paid Membership removes these limits and unlocks additional features, as described on our pricing page.
The ingredient label scanner and recipe photo import features use third-party AI technology (currently Google's Gemini models) to read text and images you submit and return a suggested result (for example, an ingredient list, an AIP-compliance assessment, or a structured recipe).
These AI features are provided for convenience and can make mistakes — they may misread a label, miss an ingredient, or mis-transcribe a recipe. You are responsible for independently verifying anything AIP Guru's AI features tell you before relying on it, especially where an allergy, intolerance, or other health risk is involved. We are not liable for decisions you make based on AI-generated output. See Section 13 for how photos and text you submit to these features are processed by our AI provider, and our Privacy Policy for more detail.
You need an account for most features. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Let us know right away if you think your account has been compromised.
AIP Guru is not directed at children. You must be at least 18 years old or have approval from their legal guardian to create an account. The guardian must take full responsibility for their minors using the app.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the AIP Guru app for its intended purpose: tracking your own AIP journey. You may install the app on devices you personally use, but you may not share your login credentials with others or let anyone else use your account or Membership.
You may not:
We may suspend or terminate your account with immediate effect if we reasonably believe these restrictions have been violated.
You own the diary entries, photos, and any recipes you create or upload ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it back to you as part of the service, and — where a feature involves AI processing (see Section 4) — to send it to our AI provider for that purpose.
If AIP Guru lets you make a recipe or other content visible to other users (for example, a public/community recipe library), we'll grant that visibility only when you actively choose to share, and you can withdraw it later from your account.
You're responsible for having the right to submit any content you upload, and you must not upload content that violates someone else's rights (including copyright or privacy), is illegal or harmful, or contains malware.
Some features require a paid Membership, billed on a recurring (monthly or annual) basis as described on our pricing page. Where a free trial is offered, you won't be charged until the trial ends unless you cancel first.
On the website: payments are processed by Stripe. You can manage or cancel your Membership from your account settings; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
In the app: in-app purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play (via RevenueCat as our subscription-management provider). Subscriptions purchased this way are billed, renewed, and cancelled through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings, not through us directly — refunds for app-store purchases are handled under Apple's or Google's own refund policies.
Except where required by law or by the applicable app store's policy, we do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.
In addition to the restrictions in Section 6, you must not:
Sweit retains all rights to the AIP Guru app and website, including their design, code, trademarks, and branding. Nothing in this agreement transfers any intellectual property rights to you, other than the license in Section 6. You may not use the AIP Guru name, logo, or visual identity without our prior written consent.
If a third party claims that the app or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, you — not Apple or Google — are responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of that claim.
We are solely responsible for providing maintenance and support for the app. Apple and Google have no obligation to provide any maintenance or support services for the app.
We — not Apple or Google — are responsible for addressing any claims you or a third party may have relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and consumer-protection claims.

We are not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of these third-party services. Your use of them is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as "terrorist supporting," and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. The app may not be used in violation of applicable export laws or regulations.
We aim to keep the service available at all times but don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend the service for maintenance or updates.
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time from the app's account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. When your account is deleted, your diary entries, photos, and other associated data are permanently removed, subject to the retention described in our Privacy Policy.
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the app will be error-free, that AI-generated results will be accurate, or that your data will never be lost, though we take reasonable precautions.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including damages arising from reliance on AI-generated content or from dietary or health decisions you make.
We are not liable for any failure or delay in providing the service caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, power or internet outages, cyberattacks, acts of government, or other events that could not reasonably have been foreseen or prevented.
These Terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Swedish courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the new Terms.
